跟大家分享一下本人申牛津D.Phil(PRS in first instance)的全纪录。也算给筒子们一点参考。没有做不到，只有想不到。 2月18日，看tigtag众大虾申的热火朝天，把牛剑贴灌到过200页.心痒，终于下定决心也申一把。(其实牛津general deadline已过） [b]发信问牛津是否可申[/b][b]?[/b] 于是download Ox/Cam/IC的申请表，查方向，研究导师动向，确定有希望收中国人并专业对口的导师共6名，每校2名。 2月19日，苦读相关导师paper..搞定150字RP 共4篇. 牛津小米回信，如下 Thank you for your enquiry. If you wish to apply for admission in October 2004, please note that applications from Overseas students for admission in October 2004 should have been received by 31st December 2003. If you wish to apply for admission now you will need to submit your application as soon as possible with a note asking that it be considered. 还有戏！ 2月20日，e-mail陶瓷Ox/Cam老师, 附件：简单RP和3页CV. 2月23日，OX 一老师回信如下： Thank you for your email in which you express interest in joining my research group. I have looked at your CV and would be happy to consider a formal application from you。 PS To speed up the process, it might be a good idea if you were to mention my name in the application. 有戏！于是认真研读该导师文章. 2月24日，回信感谢，附件：详细RP(一页）， cc给admission office问过了deadline腰部要紧！ 2月25日，老师秘书回信再次表示your proprosed project fit my interest very well. 2月26日-3月9日，准备application forms..要成绩单，要academic references. (期间因为老师on leave，delay了几天，发信告诉牛津情况，小米很客气的说没事，3月中寄到就行） 3月10号，牛/剑申请同时寄出。（航空信） 3月18号，剑桥e-mail ack收到。牛津没动静 19号-21号，牛津还是没动静！ 3月22号，忍不住发信问小米。 3月23号，小米回信。 Please see below. Your offer letter was posted to your address on 18th March 2004. 天啊，速度不是盖的，连ack都给省了。 后记：其实这次也算因祸得福，因为这个时候应该没有outstanding applications了，所以偶得成了express order..加上老板已对欧心理有数，并且他也有招过中国学生，所以才会这末快。 体会： 准备工作做充足：陶瓷很重要，RP要写好，不要被deadline吓倒！ 祝大家都申请/学习顺利。 偶申Engineering Science, 不是硕士，新加坡小本 B.Eng(1st class hons).有国际conf论文发1篇，收1篇，一篇在审journal
