The essay:[b]Some people pay money for the things they want or need. Other people trade products or goods for what they need. Compare the advantages of these two ways of obtaining things. Which way do you prefer? Explain why.
level 6[b]Trade is a human actitvity since the earliest periods of history. After men settled in a particular site, they exchanged the products they grew or the animals they bred. This process lead to the development of money (understood as bills, coins, etc.), and therefore, our actual economy of buy-and-sell.[b] [b]The advantages of the first one relies on the fact that both people who take part in this action are dealing with physical goods or labors in common. In other words those who are trading some farmlands for wetlands, or having a field harvested for fishing an specific place, are dealing on the same level of activities. On the other hand to pay for a particular good or service, makes it simpler to clarify the value of things, since the value is given by a common agreement between society (besides it is easier to carry a ten dollar bill than a flock of geese in your pocket!).[b] [b] I prefer the process of buying things. Trade worked perfectly in earlier societies, where the number of individuals living in that community was small and the tasks were simpler. In today's world this is a little bit more complex. I believe that the process of buy-and-sell fits our modern way of living, not only because it is simpler, but because we are getting to the point where all of our transactions will be done "virtually" (credit cards, internet, etc.) and paying for a meal would be easier than trading it for a service

Many different ways of obtaining the things you need can be represented. The two most common ways of obtaining the things you may need or want is to pay money for them or to trade products or goods for what they need. In those two ways, there are adventages and disadventages that follows. My personal feelings about the way in which you obtain the things you may need or want is to pay for them for a appropriate bargin price.[b] [b]The adventage of paying for the things you need or want is that you can obtain anything you want. When you purchase an item for your use, you often look at the price and how the purpose of the product can suit your needs. When you are paying for the products you need you can often match the direct purpose of the product for your use. This allows the consumer to feel confident of the product that they have purchased, thus leaving the manufacturors feeling happy.[b] [b]However, when you are trading in a product for a different product, you can't always get everything you want and need. Since you have to match the value of the product you are trading, the value of the product you want can be of higher value thus limiting your selection of products to purchase. But one advantage of trading is that you don't actually have to pay money to obtain a product. It's kind of like upgrading your computer. You are just simply trading in something old for something that is more of worth or use to you now.[b] [b]Instead of fussing to find out what I can trade in to get what I need now or later on in the future, it is a better idea to pay for the products you want other than to trade. You receive or obtain what you want and satisfy your need much faster and effectively when you pay money for the things I or anyone might need.
[b]level 4
The pople who pays with money have one big advantage. They know exactly how much their money is worth. For example: If I have 1 US dollars, I know that I can buy a soda. If I have a pair of worn scissors I'm not sure the salesman wants to trade his soda for them.
But these different methods of getting what you want is not all that different. A person who pays with money must first earn them. He usually works for them. That means he trades some of his time and knowledge for money so that he can pay whatever he wants with them. The person who trades with goods or products skipps the money part.
Those who pay with money has a greater advantage if they want to trade with other nations. They can exchange money to foreign currency. That way trade it is much more easier done.
I prefer both ways at different times. If I would like to get some help from my neighbour I wouldnt pay him money. As a matter of fact I would feel pretty silly doing so.I would simply give him something nice, buy him dinner or help him later with something he wants.
level 3
I do strongly prefere that people trade products or goods for what they need than som people pay money for the things they want or need. I support this idea for several reasons.[b] [b]First of all, sometimes people trade their products or goods for their benifits and they can pay less money and they don't need any advertisment for their products.[b] [b] Secondly, when the people trade their own products they knows what it exactly contain and they can illistrate their products by giving more informations for their coustomers.[b] [b] In general, I prefere that people trade their own products or goods by themselves to but the coustomers relized that their products is more better than the others.
level 2
Some people pay money for the things they want or need. Other people trade products or goods for what they want need. There are two different ways to own what they want. I prefer to pay money and own a thing. An advantages I pay money to buy a thing, in psylogy I will find myself satisfy. When I get some income and I spend it to buy somethings that I want. I feel that is reasonable for me to do that. In order to trade products or goods, I myself dislike this kind of staff. Because by trade products or goods, I may lose somethings that I love. Ever through I get somethings new, I may also losing somethings that I love after trade. Althrough have to pay money to buy things that I want, I thinks it is valued to me.
[b]level 1
I prefer pay mone y for the thinks, because is better. When there are interchanges with products, the people always is not conform.
When I pay money , I put give all the thinks that I want, because is my money, and I see for how many thinks I put pay.
Think of the most interesting class you have ever taken. Why did you enjoy [b]this class so much? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer.
level 6[b] [b]The most interesting class I have taken is art. I enjoy this class purely because of the freedom of choices one can make. The teacher, nor the work, are pressuring. The atmosphere of the classroom is extremely friendly and [b]relaxing. Art class relieves the stress of the more rigorous courses I attend. There is an incredible variety of medias to chose from and one can develop a sense of independence. I enjoy this class particularly because I understand the subject of art.[b] [b]Art class gives a person the opportunity to explore within the realm of one's imagination. There does not seem to be a barrier for the ideas one wishes to create. The class is filled with pleasures because there is no stress nor worries. Art also helps one go through logical stages of development. Firstly, one makes a rough sketch of the final project and imagines different styles in which it could be done. Secondly, the actual thought process and the creating of the project develops. And lastly, the project is complete and ready for interpretation and viewing.[b] [b]I greatly believe that one is able to express through pictures and images when the can not explain in words. The inner thoughts of a person come directly through the canvas. The beauty of art is that it can be interpreted [b]in many different ways by the viewer. I adore this subject because of the freedom of expression and the unlimited interpretation.[b] [b]I have learned a great deal being an art student. I have matured and gained independence while listening to criticism as well. The critcism only helps one expand their thoughts and acknowlegde other's style of thinking.[b] [b]I enjoy this class also because of the relaxed environment, a contrast to the rest of the academic classes. The freedom of choice is wonderfully appealing in my point of view.
5 [b]The most interesting class I have ever taken was microeconomics class, the first course to be taken as a beginning of the economics study.
It is remembered so vividly because, above all, I was under tremendous pressure when I was taking the course as most of my classmates were. None of us were accepted to the economics major yet, and the grade we got on this course will play a crucial part in admission process.
However, the fundamental reason that I enjoyed it so much was that after a month or so, I was able to read and understand financial newspaper such as Wall Street Journal. Sometimes, I was absorbed in what was happening [b]in the real world so much that I neglected to study textbooks carefully.[b]I also had a pleasure of having the best TA (teaching assistant) I had ever had. University of California is a huge school and there are just too many students in each class. As undergraduate students, we don't have chance [b]to see the professor in person very often. TA's are the ones who directly influence our progresses in class. My TA in that class was no less clear in explaining the class material than the professor, and he inspired us to [b]have interests in economic interpretations of real world.
Not everyone get to have the previlege of knowing exactly what to do with their lives. The fun of understanding economics and business made me sure that I would have my career in that field and get MBA degree.
level 4[b]The most interesting class I have ever taken was my Art value class this year. I believe so due to the following reasons.[b] [b]First of all, art is the subject I love. If I could, I would spend my entire life just drawing, and I defenitely won't be bored. Unfortunetely, I did not have a chance to study art before, therefore taking this class was a great deal of interest and challenge to me.[b] [b]Being in this class I have found out so many new things about [b]art, such as its history, techniques, types of materials that are used, [b]and so on. I have discovered many secret talents in myself, which helped [b]me to improve my self-esteme. Due to the things I have learned in this class [b]I participated in several art contest and was really successful.[b] [b] I think that my that art class won't be as intersting without [b]my teacher. She has invented different games to help us remember important [b]events in the art history and understand how the art techiques and various [b]types of paint work. She was, without a doubt, the most understanding, intesting,[b]and challenging teacher I have ever had.[b] [b] Taking this class I have learned new things and have found out [b]more about myself. Having such a great teacher helped me to succeed in [b]art contests and to find my way in life. Now I know what I want to be.
level 3[b] [b] I took many classes in the four years of college but one was the most [b]interesting of all of them: "The Sociology of transition".[b] [b] The reasons which are the background of my choice are related [b]to the professor and, on the other hand, to the contents of the cours.[b] [b] In the first time, the "The Sociology of transition" class [b]had come to reponse to my dillema about the unfunctionality of the social [b]system in which I lived.[b] [b]In the second time, the professor had been a practioner and [b]a specialist, a man who had worked in the public administration and had [b]made part from civil society (non-governamental organisation). I had many [b]thing to learn from him.[b] [b] We do not forget the specific of the moment when I took this [b]class: I had been in the second year when I had known the bases of the sociology [b]and I had had an overview of the social system mechanism.[b] [b]An ther extra-reasons is that my best friends took this class. [b]I had enjoed
level 2[b]The most significant and recognize class I have ever taken ,is the class [b]or the period that I have spent at the university , it was energized with [b]pleasure ,excitment friends, and tired ,it influence on me in a great deal.[b] [b] I have really feel how the life in university is beautifull ,I with [b]my friends went for a picnics, doing homeworhs toghers, laugh on the jokes [b]which every one of us must interested in.[b] [b]Also I have lived the feeling of energization in the exam's times , [b]seeing and knowing the students and their welling, someone who are chatting, and [b]the others who are good ,so I feel this period has candidated me for the [b]work life.
level 1[b]The most interesting class I have ever taken is history.[b] [b] I took many history classes in my high school and I enjoyed all of [b]them.I think, the reason was my teachers. They made classes more and more [b]enjoyable. They teached me many things about Turkish and world history. [b]They provided activities like Music tells us something about a culture. What does the music of your country [b]reveal about the culture of your country? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.
6[b]In order to answer the question, "what does the music of your country reveal [b]about the culture of your country?" I would like to introduce myself. I [b]am from Spain, I was born in a region called Catalonia, concretely in a [b]town near Barcelona.
In my opinion, the music tells us a lot of a culture, and someone could [b]learn a lot from the spanish culture just listening to music in her room. [b]But it is not easy to collect a representative sample of the spanish music, [b]because of the enormous variety, every region of Spain has its own music, [b]that sounds completely different from the rest, and even for some regions [b]there are more than one type of tipical music. This variety is very important [b]because shows that Spain is a counry of countries, each one with a particular [b]personality.
It is very interesting to discover the different personality of the spanish [b]regions, just listening how their music sounds like. For example, in the [b]south of Spain people are known for being very funny and for their good [b]sense of humor. In this part of Spain you can find mainly two kinds of music: [b]the Flamenco and the Sevillanas. Sevillas have completly the personality [b]of andalusian people, it is very cheerful. However, Flamenco sounds sad [b]and deep. The reason is that although andalusian people have a good mood, [b]they live in one of the poorest part of Spain, and they express their pain [b]through the flamenco music.
Finally, I would like to say that I personally agree with the statement [b]that music tells us something about a culture, and with my example example [b]I wanted to illustrate, how much of the culture of a country it is possible [b]to learn just listening to its music.
5[b]Music is wide considered the universal language and a component of culture. [b]Music also tells a tale which reveals the origins of a country's culture [b]and the influences in the culture's development.[b] [b]In Singapore, our music is diverse and blended. By listening to our [b]music, one will note that it has its roots in many cultures. This is due [b]to the fact that Singapore is a multiracial country and as such, the identity [b]of Singaporean culture is a melting pot of different races.[b] [b]The use of music in Singapore's society also allows one to have a better [b]understanding of our culture. Music is used for many different aspects of [b]our lives. Weddings, funerals, holidays, all call for different types of [b]music. The tone of the music also changes accordingly. Special attention [b]must be paid to the different races' use of music, too, as the music used [b]for similar occassions sometimes differs greatly. For example, a Chinese [b]funeral uses lively music and in many ways resembles a festive event whereas [b]a Malay funeral would tend to be more sombre. Through these observations [b]one can generally understand that while Singapore is one country, its makeup [b]is not homogenous.[b] [b]The instruments used to produce music are an example of such a diversity.[b]We have gongs from China, reed instruments from Malaysia, and stringed [b]instruments from India. As such, Singapore's cultural identity is seen as [b]a blend of many cultures. It draws its identity from the different parts [b]of the whole which make up Singapore's population.[b] [b] A close look at Singapore's music also reveals that it is also influenced [b]by foreigners. Western civilization has made a great impact globally and [b]the results can be seen in music, too. The younger generation is the main [b]recipient of this influence and the music it listens to is an example of [b]that fact. This influence in the tastes and preference of music is a reflection [b]of Singapore's present-day culture.
4[b]It is true that music tell us something about culture. In many countries [b]the music is almost the same, that because of relationship and how close [b]those countries are.[b] [b]Traditional music, is the background of a nation. In my country, Greece, [b]traditional music express the feelings about nature, war, sea and it combines [b]music with storytelling.[b] [b]First, the musical instruments gave you a impression of culture, ours [b]are made from natural materials, such as wood, animal skin, stones. This [b]kind of instruments gives you the first idea about the culture.[b] [b]Second, the music is like a part of nature in my culture, you can hear [b]some kinds of animals in my county's music because the players are trying [b]to imitate in some ways the birds, or the mamals, like the wolf or the bear.[b] [b] Third, thetrditional music changes from area to area. The peoples that [b]leaves in southern areas plays diferent kind of music than the people of [b]a northen area, that because of the climate and the way of life.[b] [b] So, in some way, you can find clues about someones cultre from his country [b]music. Because, in my opinion, the music represents a whole nation and the [b]feelings of the people.
3[b]Most people enjoy listening to pop music in Japan. Japanese pops are storongiy [b]influenced by American pops. We have some traditional music , but most [b]of the people , especially young people ,don't have much interest about [b]it.[b] [b]This tendency is becoming bigger as massmedia is becoming bigger. [b]We can listen various countries' music everyday. For example, when we turn [b]on the TV, we can listen and see MTV anytime. So foreign music become [b]very familiar , a lot of Japanese song have English in their word.[b] [b]These facts are taking bad influence about Japanese music instruments. [b]There are few demand of these, and our cultural asset will dissapear.
2[b]My country is a multi-cultures country. So that why, i listen to all sorts [b]of music. But i am a chinese , so i intend to listen more chinese music.[b] [b]Music of chinese, malay, indian and english in Singapore can be heard over the radio any time of the day. Different performs of races can be seen all round the year. We celebrate each other New Year Day.[b] [b]Another reason is people from all around the world would like to visit Singapore cos of the multi-cultures in my country. And all races of people can been seen happily together. In the national day of singapore, english [b], chinese.
1[b]Music always reveal the differentiality culture of each country. Every country has its own culture, music helps to reveal their own culture. Our countri's music is so different that all most of the country's man can tell this [b]is the music from asian tune.[b]
